What is Aera™?
Aera™ is a Spirit-led, neuroscience-informed therapeutic ecosystem founded by Alisha Bradley. Rooted in Scripture, clinical psychology, and neurotheological research, it reclaims healing as both sacred and scientific.
At the center is
NeuroSpiritual Transformation Therapy™ (NSTT),
a modality that equips practitioners to work at the intersection of spiritual dynamics and brain-based change. It’s not Christian-flavored therapy. It’s a return to truth: biblically grounded, clinically sound, and biologically effective.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER
The Vision Behind Aera: From Personal Healing to Global Movement
​
Diagnosed with clinical depression, anxiety, bipolar II, and borderline personality disorder between the ages of 14–25, Alisha endured years of emotional torment, including multiple psychiatric hospitalizations. In her darkest moments, she battled what she now understands to be spiritual darkness—paralyzing fear, invasive thoughts, and disturbing visions. Though initially viewed through a psychological lens, these experiences later revealed deep spiritual roots.

To understand her mind and emotions more deeply, Alisha earned her Master’s in Clinical Psychology in 2012 and worked in both community mental health and private practice. Yet even with robust clinical training, she recognized a glaring absence of spiritual integration in conventional therapy. This led her to transition into mindset coaching, creating space to explore the intersection of biblical truth, neuroscience, and holistic care in a more flexible setting.

In 2014, still struggling with mental illness, Alisha found herself hospitalized and placed on suicide watch. Desperate and at her breaking point, she cried out to God, and encountered a wave of supernatural peace and clarity she now knows was His presence.
​
Despite mixing medication and alcohol in her suicide attempt, her doctor reported no liver damage, an outcome that shocked medical staff. That moment marked a turning point. It confirmed what Alisha had always sensed: her healing wouldn’t come solely from medication, but from the One who created her. She began to wean off psychiatric drugs and rebuilt her life through prayer, Scripture, deliverance, emotional discipline, and neuroplasticity-based tools.

Between 2014 and 2018, Alisha immersed herself in the study of neurotheology, exploring how spiritual practices affect the brain, and how faith-based experiences intersect with neural activity and mental health. The deeper she studied, the more convinced she became that this integration was essential for true transformation.
​
In 2018, she reached out to neurotheology pioneer Dr. Andrew Newberg to ask whether he had developed a therapeutic applied model based on his research.
​
His response: “I would be interested to see how you might create an ‘applied neurotheology,’ something I have been thinking about for some time. Let me know how it goes.”
​
His response was the confirmation she needed!
​
For over 13 years, Alisha has worked with clients while using herself as the first case study, and for the past 7 years, she’s been narrowed into how neurotheology can support them even further, fusing Scripture, neuroscience, and Spirit-led discernment to help others experience breakthrough and transformation.
Aera is the formalization of that journey.
